Thai Youth Orchestra was founded in 1986 by Dr Saisuree Chutikul, then Head

of the National Council for Youth Development. Inspired by the passion and vision

of Professor Phukorn Srinarong, TYO's Music Director, the orchestra's initial goals

were to nurture young aspiring classical musicians towards professional and

international careers, offering high standard orchestral training, and making classical

music more accessible to Thai people. Over the past 30 years, TYO have produced

over 1,500 professional Thai musicians who excel at home and abroad
